Lighting Application Sciences, LLC (LAS) is an independent contractor doing business with various lighting manufacturers and representatives in the United States and around the world. The goal at LAS is to provide accurate Photometric information to our clientele in a timely, efficient manner.
Being that time is money, LAS provides quick turnaround to keep you looking good for your customers and representatives. The most difficult of layout requests can be resolved with the help of LAS using programs such as AutoCAD, AGi32, and Photometric Toolbox. Layouts can be produced using electronic data and returned to you via e-mail in dxf, dwg, pdf, or mailed hard copy form. With over 20 years of lighting application experience in industrial, commercial, indoor/outdoor sports arenas, and interior projects, the LAS team can tackle your toughest layout request.
Jennifer entered the lighting industry in 1995 when she joined Wide-Lite Corporation and worked for five years as an application engineer. She founded Lighting Application Sciences, LLC in 2000 to provide out-of-house photometric and technical services to lighting manufacturers, sales representatives, and others.
In 2007, Jennifer had earned her Lighting Certification from the National Council of Qualified Lighting Professionals. In 2008, she became the Authorized Texas instructor for Lighting Analysts’ AGi32 lighting software; certified to teach basic, intermediate, and roadway levels of the software.
She has been a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society since 1995. During that time she served the Austin section leadership as Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary, and Education chair. She was IES Conference steering committee chair in 2012 and 2013, and 2014 advisory member. Jennifer was proudly awarded the IES Presidential Award in both 2013 and 2018, and in December of 2018 she was awarded for outstanding service from Lighting Analysts. She was the IES South Regional director covering districts 3 and 4 from 2014 to 2018. She is currently IES VP/President-elect for the 2018-2019 program year.
With 23 years of experience in lighting, Jennifer has established an outstanding reputation in the industry for honesty and thoroughness. She, her husband, and two daughters (Bobcat and Aggie) enjoy a great sense of community and beautiful hill country views. After a day of all things lighting, Jennifer unwinds by reading, cooking, walking the dogs, dabbling in the garden, and considering whether or not to exercise.

Jossh is a graduate of Texas State University where he achieved a degree in Interior Design. Jossh brings to LAS a strong background in both interior and architectural design. He has experience in commercial interior design, residential architecture and structural design.
His interest in the strong role lighting plays in creating and changing space is what brought Jossh to his position with LAS. His passion for innovation and motivation to stay on the edge of lighting trends is what drives Jossh daily.
He is an IES Emerging Professional and a native of Saltillo, Mexico (home of Saltillo tile). A strong tie to his heritage keeps his aesthetic exciting and approachable. Jossh enjoys travel, music and exploring nature in his free time.

Sarah, originally from Dallas, TX, graduated from Texas State University in 2016 with a
Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences with a focus in Interior Design. As part of
the design program, it was mandatory to take a lighting class focusing on the aging eye where
she would soon discover her love for lighting and the importance of the role light plays in our
everyday lives. It was this class and Dr. Asha Hedge that forever changed her life.
Sarah has been a member of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) since 2014 and
currently stands as an Emerging Professional (EP). In 2014, Sarah was one of the recipients of
the IES Young Professional Scholarship. She has been a member of the IES Dallas board since 2017 and currently serves as Secretary. Sarah has a passion for horticulture lighting and desires to become an expert and educate others on the ever growing industry.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys traveling the world, exploring new cultures, eating new cuisines,
spoiling her fur babies, and appreciating all that life has to offer.
